Picture Frame

Hi there
This time I made a photo frame using the frame from Motor Mania cd and a topper of James Dean from the Legends of Hollywood cd both available to buy from HERE and HERE.

I printed off the picture frame and extra motorbike for decoupage. I cut out the centre and measured for the size of topper needed to fit the hole.
I opened Serif Craft Artist Pro and transferred the topper of James Dean, resized to the measurements needed and printed off.
I edged the inside of the frame where the topper would sit with black promarker and attached the topper with doublesided tape to the back of the frame.
I then cut out the stand and attached to the back of the frame so that it can stand. Cut out the extra motorbike and decoupaged with 3d foam pads.
Hope you find this useful.
Till the next time

TOTALLY TIFFANY

Hi everyone.

It is my turn to post again today here on Kraftyhands Blog

Well, I  had such fun using the goodies I was sent from the Totally Tiffany CD, together with some gorgeous printed vellum from http://www.kraftyhandsonline.co.uk/

I found embossing the vellum worked a treat too.

Here are a couple of the things I made.  I will follow in November with a couple more:

Using patterned pink vellum which has been embossed
and glittered slightly.  The vellum is attached with stitching

I just loved making this gift bag!

Next I attempted a photo frame card:

The insert slides out to the right on this one so a photo could be inserted
Two different green patterned vellum,  both embossed.

Take a look at  Kraftyhands online shop and I bet you will find lots of different combinations using this layout with their lovely products.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Totally Tiffany Papers and Tonic Studios Forever Memories Verona Storage Unit.

Hi there
Thought I would have a go at creating something different for a change. I bought the Verona Storage last year and it has been sitting in its box since.
So I followed all construction instructions and then painted it with brown acrylic paint. When that dried I rubbed over the edges with gold gilding wax.
I printed off background paper from the Totally Tiffany cd due to be launched at the start of October, pre-order your copy HERE and covered the chipboard which came with the storage, and inked edges with Tim Holtz walnut stain Distressed Ink Pad, then I attached the chipboard to the unit. I assembled the drawers and covered those with the Totally Tiffany background papers and inked those with the same ink pad, brown acrylic paint and gold gilding wax.
A made holes with a Crop-a-dile to attach the drawer handles which I bought separate from a Tonic supplier. With the drawers already having finger holes, these handles don't really need to be attached but I think it finishes off the design.
I then made up a bouquet of skeleton leaves, hat pins, and flowers in 2 different sizes and attached with Pinflair to the top.
Hope you enjoyed my inspiration for today, see you again soon.

Cottage Garden Journal Jar

I thought I might share my Journal Jar with you. This one was made to journal about your garden, but jars can be made for lots of  different subjects. If given as a gift to a non-scrap-booker it is easy for them to just drop items in it so they have the joy of the memories without being crafty.

For this jar I used some papers from the Cottage Garden Scrapbook Set by Kraftyhands at £4.99. I only used a tiny part of the collection, so you should have lots left for cards, scrapbook pages or more jars.

You Will Need
  • Garden Cottage Scrapbook Set
  • Large glass jar I used a coffee jar (Douwe and Edberts)
  • Garden string
  • Hessian or Jute
  • Distress ink
  • Seeds for jar lid
I choose the jar because you are able to put things inside the lid. On this occasion I put in dried seeds, but you could add any small items, buttons, dried flowers etc.

To help the recipient of the jar I printed some ideas on the tag to get them started with their journalling.
Probably too late to use now Autumn is here, but I think it would make a super and thoughtful Christmas gift for a keen gardener with maybe a packet of seeds inside.
