Don Valley Stadium - Sheffield

Thanks to all the ladies and gents that came to see us yesterday at the Ross Papercraft Show, Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield. Although the attendance was pretty low, with just having Stamp Magic, Father's Day and Summer Crafting just around the corner, we still had a good time!

We have a soft spot for Sheffield as it's where we did our very first craft show 5 years ago. Seems such a long time, and in 5 years we have come quite a distance, I'm sure you'll agree!

Those lovely ladies who first met us back then are still coming back and it was so nice to see so many of you yesterday!

Of course it was the last show at the Don Valley Stadium as it is being demolished later in the year, but the next Ross Papercraft Show will be moving to a new venue at the Westfield Sports College on Eckington Road on the 17th November.

See you there!

Good Morning Krafty Friends and Followers

Today I would like to share my Father's Day Tutorial.  Thank you for visiting and commenting on our design teams superb tutorials and we hope that they have given you some inspiration.

Products Used

Vintage Motor's CD
2 8 x 8 Cards Reddish Brown
Black Card for Matting & Layering
Wooden Alphabet
Spellbinder Dies, Circle and Decorative Oval Die
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Forest Moss
Tim Holtz paper distress tool
Collall Glue
Foam Pads
Double Sided Tape
Diagonal Gatefold Card

Take 2 square cards and cut on the diagonal as shown in the photo, left hand side cut from top right to bottom left, on the right had side cut from bottom left to top right and then join cards together

From the CD I have printed off 2 sheets of the map backing papers, a sheet of toppers and a sheet of the outer toppers. Using Black card I have cut out my layers for the inside and the sides as well as for the toppers.

The inside of the card I have mat and layered black card and the map background.  I have distressed the edges of the map and then inked with DI Forest Moss

On the two diagonals I have matted and layered the same as the inside of the card

I attached the Oval black card on the left half of the card then using double sided tape and foam pads added the centre piece.  The topper in the bottom left hand corner has been distressed and added with foam pads.

To finish off I have added the wooden letters down the top right.

Sylvia's Step-by-Step Father's Day Tutorial

Good Morning Krafty Friends and Followers

For my card I have used a mixture of Man About Town die cut stepper cards and items printed from the Man About Town CD.

Materials
Die cut stepper card, topper and sentiment
Ribbon strip and letters from the CD
Gold mirror card
Red card
Dotty ribbon
Dotty brad
Tassel
Double sided tape
Pinflair glue gel

To Create The Card
First pop out the stepper card from the sheet and fold on the pre-scored lines.

Pop out the topper and a sentiment.I have mounted the sentiment onto red card and the topper onto a mat cut from gold mirror card using the Spellbinders Labels 22 largest die.

Cut out the ribbon strip and thread the dotty ribbon through the slots.
To make the strip stand out from the card I have edged it using a Ruby Promarker.
Add the topper, the ribbon strip and the sentiment to the card using glue gel.

Cut out the letters and stick them to red card with double sided tape and cut out to leave a narrow border.
Add these to the side of the card at a jaunty angle using glue gel.

Pierce a hole at the top left side of the card and add the tassel with the brad.
Hope you like my card.

Thanks for Visiting

Shirley-Anne's Step-by-Step Father's Day Tutorial

Good Morning Krafty Friends and Followers

Here is my Step- by-Step Tutorial

I have chosen a range of images not all from one sheet of printing from It's A Man's World

This was my main image , which I fussy cut

I printed this dotty paper with page set up as A5 borderless.

My card base of Pacific Point , SU , is 14.5cm  square. Here I have adhered a 14cm square of the printed paper leaving some of the white at top . I punched out the circle tag .I diecut some Pacific Point as a frame for the fisherman .

After adhering all pieces , my card front is finished . I just used a scrap of printed paper to "wrap" up fish ..

INSIDE

The balance of the printed dotty paper is used for the inside along with two diecut pieces of blue and white card and paper pieced face of fisherman .

Mandy's Step-by-Step Father's Day Tutorial

Good Morning Krafty Friends and Followers

Here is my Father's Day card tutorial!

Mike and Ian are on Create and Craft today at 11.00 am.  They have 2 new die cut paper products on the show too, Handbags in 12 colours and Book Box cards in 6 colours.

Hello Crafters!  Today I would like to share with you how I made this Father's Day easel card from one of the card sets on the Kraftyhands Vintage Motors CD.

So first of all, here are the materials used:
Kraftyhands - Vintage Motors CD
Joanna Sheen - gentle gloss photo paper
Core'Dinations - brown card
Craftwork Cards - white 15.5 cm square card blank, white A4 card
Pinflair - dimensional glue gel
Other - double sided tape, scissors, guillotine, tweezers, scoring board and scoring tool

Step 1
Print out 2 corresponding easel card sheets using glossy photo paper

Step 2
Take the square card blank and score across the front at 7.5cm to make the base for the easel

Step 3
Cut out the easel card insert, topper base and topper - I used a guillotine, but you could just as easily use a ruler and craft knife.
Cut three squares of brown card - two 14.5cm x 14.5cm and one 12.5cm x 12.5cm
Cut one square of white card - 15cm x 15cm

Step 4
Cut out the Father's Day sentiment, sentiment backer and photo corners using scissors

Step 5
Layer the card as shown using double sided tape
- Topper base onto brown card, layered onto white card
- Topper onto brown card
- Easel card insert onto brown card, then stick onto the inside of the card blank

Step 6
Place double sided tape onto the back of the topper base, making sure that the tape is lower than the card fold

Step 7
Stick the topper base onto the front of the easel card

Step 8
Layer the sentiment with dimensional glue, and stick onto the card insert using more dimensional glue
Place the topper onto the topper base using dimensional glue and leave to dry

And here you have the completed card!
